We are a small farm and only have so many animals! We have just a few head available in early 2020 but the majority of our beef will be available in early to late fall. Check back for our fall beef prices as our prices will not be finalized for fall beef until mid Summer. If you are interested in purchasing don't hesitate to contact us before we are sold out.
If you love grass fed beef that is finished with a touch of quality feed then our whole, half, or quarters could save you money. Our South Poll/ Red Angus cross cattle are bred to be smaller in stature and size at processing. Providing our customers with the quality of meat while keeping the cost considerably lower. Read Pricing and Expectations below for more info! Buying directly from the farm ensures that your money stays local and your freezer stays full. Purchasing a bulk amount of meat can save you over $1000, the cost of purchasing the same weight of beef in individual cuts over time.
If you buy one of our whole, halves, or quarters your beef has been raised using natural farming techniques. We believe that cattle were meant to be raised off the land and we strive to provide healthy, locally raised, beef for your family. Your beef is raised on our family farm their entire lifetime. We don't use pesticides, chemicals, or growth hormones! Our cattle are finished using a unique mixture of grass and grains on our family farm. Our cattle live and are worked in a low stress environment that help keep our cattle calm. Matt works extremely hard to ensure that that their most stressful event is the trip to our processor.
Our finished cattle live weights are about 900-1100lbs. All of our beef is sold by hanging weight. The weight is determined by what is called the carcass or hanging weight. Hanging weight averages about 550 - 682lbs. but varies by individual animal. Hanging weight and the final price are determined at processing. While our beef are smaller then the standard Black Angus we ensure that you are still able to get the cuts that you want while not overloading your pocket book or freezer!
The amount of meat that you get will be dependent on the cuts. Bone in versus bone out, ground beef, and roasts will all impact the final amount of beef you receive. We will work with you to help you choose your cuts.
